chole and batura

been having Indian food craving since last Sunday after eating the nice mutton biryani at Marine Square.

so besides eating Indian twice this week, my favorite Indian stall at the Fusionopolis foodcourt had a new lunch dish.

chole and batura
it's called chole and batura.

believe me when i say it tastes as good as it looks.

nevermind that it's deep-fried flour that probably gains you more calories than you can lose.

oh so sinful, but oh so nice.

Gurren Lagann DVD

i've decided to purchase the Gurren Lagann DVD from ZoomMovie.

the bad thing about watching it on tudou previously was that the quality is just not good enough to justify the show.

so after much deliberation, consideration and careful thoughts, i decided it was best to own my own personal DVD. just so that i can watch the fight scenes in non-fuzzy resolution.

of course, this being my 1st purchase from ZoomMovie, i was praying that i'm not cheated out of my money for low quality DVDs.

thank goodness the DVDs turned out fine.

or, as fine as you can get from Malaysia.

*shrugs*

well, at least now, i can enjoy gurren any time of the day, and i don't need to wait for each episode to stream.

PS. loads and loads of new series have been popping up over the Fall season. i could hardly keep up with most of them, and the ones i'm waiting for haven't even started!!

stay tuned for what RR is gonna be busy with over the next 3-6 months...

ohohohohohohohohohohooo....

ultimate bimbo collection...

heehee...

bought the latest Sony VAIO C-series together with joreen...

model VGN-C13G... in blush PINK!

**this position saved to insert proper photo of it soon.**
in the meantime, check out the website...
http://vaio-online.sony.com/prod_info/vgn-c13g_w/

although it's not as pink as the VGN-FJ78GP, and of course, specifications-wise, still loses to it, but still! for $1,999, it's already a very good buy...

wahahaha... i'm so proud of my new laptop...

wished i still had my pink panasonic mobile... they would've totally complement each other...

*sighs*

恋上我的床

i love my new mattress...

yes... i finally got my new mattress, along with a new bedframe and chest of drawers, on friday...

aside from the new bed frame being so high that my legs can't reach the floor when i sit down, everything about it is fantastic...

seriously, i never thought i'll be raving abt a slab of mattress too... but it's juz too good to not tell everyone about...

i'm those that love hard mattresses and hard pillows... give me a fluffy pillow and i'll wake up with a terrible stiff neck the next day...

so u can imagine how delighted i was that the mattress was very sturdy and hard... even i had a initial shock when i sat on it for the first time... it was even harder than my old mattress!

but once i was lying on it, it was a totally different feeling... it's as if the initial hardness was never felt at all... the size is slightly wider than my old one, 42 inch compared to the old 38 inch... suddenly, i had more space around me to nuah and toss and turn... and, there was an extra layer of sponge that made the bed very cooling...

i almost didn't want to get up for work on sat...

*sighs*

i love my new mattress...

of more Sayo, KTV and kopitiam invasion...

more on Sayo

as mentioned, met up with Sayo for our last meal together at chinatown... i always want to bring her out for more hawker food since i feel that her boyfriend dun do that as much... and who knows when she'll have the chance to ever savour our local delights again for a long time...

after that, we went walking for a while along chinatown, as i waited for lydia to come from work, reminiscing about days back in launie when we would do the same things... i forgot to mention us watching movies in the last entry... think we probably watched 4-5 movies with another sg classmate Jan, usually during our long breaks on tuesdays or after class on friday...

we eventually parted at chinatown mrt, and i passed the going-away present i got for her... i wished i had more time to shop, but it was so last minute... sayo, i really hope u like the hair clip... we must keep in touch kk...
give me another 2yrs to save up after my taiwan trip, and i'll be off to japan to see u... *grins* in the meantime, work hard in ur job when u start next april kk...

KTV @ K-ster, Lucky Chinatown

"u know u've been singing way too much when the staff recognize u..."
that's lydia by the way... apparently, one of the staff, whom she claims looks abit like 吴克群, recognized her when he passed us along the corridor...

from 3.45-7.20pm, we managed to
1) sing at least 50 songs and not lose our vocal chords...
2) tried to imitate very low male voices with little success...
3) made lydia spill milo on herself...
4) broaden my limited chinese songs directory to more recent songs...
5) sang songs from Grasshoppers and the classic Aaron Kwok 对你爱不完, along with the hand actions...

when we couldn't reach the super low notes for the male singers' songs, we ended up singing the super high pitch version... which really sounds funny cos we would sometimes go out of tune... den down to normal pitch for the chorus, and up to the high pitch again for the 2nd stanza...

all in all, the only song we could sing of guys that din require us to do the up and down pitch was Lee Hom's Forever Love... ahahaha... something that kenny couldn't reach before...

which reminds me... Kenny... i'm so sorry we PS-ed u for ktv... (PS = short form for pang seh) it was my idea really, even though i was the one that asked u in the 1st place... i'm so so sorry... no valid reason to give u also... heard from my sis u were bored in the afternoon... felt guilty immediately...

next time kk... we go ktv i promise we call u to see if u free or not... good thing is, we got k-ster coupons at the macdonald's at lucky chinatown... they were juz sitting there on the counter waiting to be taken by us... 3 "free 5hrs ktv room" coupons per piece of paper... valid til 15 nov... got chance got chance...

friday kopitiam

as if it was retribution for PS-ing kenny during ktv, ended up, only moo moo and me were met up in time for kopitiam invasion at 10pm... birdy had family gathering... we couldn't get meow meow when we called her hp., neither was there anyone picking up the phone at home... which was weird since she said she was coming...

in the end, only after we're about to go home, as we stood in front of her block, trying to decipher which was her window, did we managed to get her... turns out, our poor meow meow was back in NTU trying to finish her projects...

and she was also having a slight flu... must be all the bugs u were trying to code... instead of killing them, u ended up catching them... hope u're almost done with all ur projects now... aren't u starting exams in a few days??

we went to the jurong west kopitiam cos birdy and meow meow lives close by... in the end, moo moo and me were the ones who went... hmm...

of expensive hairs, KTV and Sayo

i know i probably shouldn't be telling birdy this... but the recently-opened kimage at pioneer mall (yes, the one near my house) is having 50% for all rebonding... my friend went to do her hair there on monday...

this was the 3rd kimage trip i've heard from my friends over a period of 1 week...

first, there was birdy... trim + rebonding + highlight + extra stuff = $540 (with member's discount)
second, was yimin (ayam) from work... trim+ highlight = $200+ (with member's discount)
third, was shannie, also from work... trim + rebonding = $150 (50% discount)

wah biangz!! the amount of money spent!! i'm feeling a headache coming again... i can cut my hair several times with the amount of money mentioned...

my hairdresser may be shrewd when it comes to business, but at least she doesn't overcharge me...

having off day tomorrow... already made plans to go KTV with lydia after her work ends at 3pm... *grins* hopefully, we can still retain our vocal chords when we get to church for choir in the evening... heehee...

and meeting Sayo for lunch before that... i'm sad! sayo's going back to japan for good... and who knows when she'll have a chance to come back to sg... guess it's really hard to find a job here...

i'm really gonna miss her... still remember when we would go shopping after classes, or you staying over for the night so we can cram for our studies, or just to watch movies or One Piece together...

when i go to japan in the future, i'll make kobe one of my pitstops so i can meet up with you... den you can bring me and my friends around to all the nice places too... ^_^.``

KON PLUSHIE!!

i got my kon... i got my KON!!! *jumps up and down wildly*

was so so ecstatic when i saw, not juz one, but TWO of them in the display cupboard... yes, the display cupboard... where they should be out of people's reach, so that when real buyers (like me) go buy them, they wouldn't be particular about it being a display piece... i'm so proud of it... look how big it is... compared to meow meow's ichigo, this is twice as large... mwahaha... i know, i'm bad... making fun of ichigo... meow meow said she's tempted to buy, but if she did, kon will be bigger than ichigo...

how do you expect me to get the smaller version after seeing this huggable one... *grins*

other than that... today is friday... so AU (minus birdy) went to invad another kopitiam... will hand it over to moo moo to check which street this one is on... the teh bing was ok, though meow meow commented that the auntie put alot of milk into it... not too sweet, but i haf a sweet tooth... so my "juz nice" might be "too sweet" for others...

moo moo was very late cos she went to see sammi cheng at lido, orchard... *growls* and i juz found out tt meow meow has a boyfriend for the past 5 or so months... *sighs* why do i always seems to be the last one to find out about such things... makes me feel abit stupid and blur... but meow meow also not the type to publicize about it... so can't really blame her...

moo moo, when you start going out with someone, please tell me in advance kk... so i dun say the wrong things at the wrong time... break-up must also say... all the more must tell me... that one confirm canot say wrong things...

my new toy

bought a mp3 player last thursday @ commex 2005... my new creative muvo2 FM is pink (though it looks purple), 5GB in size, can be used to put anything from music to data files and cost only SGD$239... AND, it fits in the palm of my hand...

originial price was actually abt $400++... i think i was debating and calling people about which best mp3 i can buy for the past 2 weeks... though buying this is early is quite unexpected, since i was planning on buying a new phone at the end of the month... but hey! commex dun come every month you know... so anyway, it was a much better buy than my original aim, which was just the muvo TX FM (1GB, $279)...

moo moo, being the pro-CREATIVE person she is, says she should receive commission from creative seeing how she promotes their products... ahahaha... moo moo, maybe u should just call in and ask for a sales position...

i'm in a much better mood than i was all week after buying this... mwehehe...

ps. tonight, another night shift... let's just hope it's better than the previous one...
