AFA09

just got informed by moo moo that they've announced the dates for AFA09.

Date: 21-22 Nov 2009
Time: 10am - 9pm
Venue: Suntec Convention Halls 403-404

more guests have already been confirmed, including celebrity blogger Danny Choo, renowned cosplayer Kaname, together with the return of May'n and Mizuki Ichirou and many more.

BUT, still not signs of whether they'll be inviting any mangakas or seiyuus.

i want my seiyuus.

i can think of a whole list of people they could ask.

Koyasu-sama, Seki Tomokazu, Miyano Mamoru, Yamaguchi Kappei, Fukuyama Jun, Sakurai Takahiro...

i could go on, but i'm already ranting.

in any case, i wouldn't be able to go early for any of the days. gotta attend a wedding lunch on sat and church activities end at 3.30pm on sun.

*sighs*

i hope i don't miss the exciting stuff.

september seems like quite a busy month for birthdays...

today is of course, my 表妹's birthday... had one hell of a party on tuesday... and ruth managed to accomplish what she wanted to do, which is to make jiahui cry... kekeke...

of Destiny OAV, tai tai training and cow...

as expected of them, there's gonna be a OAV for GSD destiny to, hopefully, wrap things up for the whole series... will be a 40min "special" episode that is releasing along with the last dvd for GSD in japan... scheduled date, 24 feb 2006... 4 more months... it better be good... it better be good...

went for tai tai training today... all the regulars were present; me, sis, ruth and lydia... as usual, it was another fun-filled afternoon with all of us cranking up... even ruth, though she resisted alot at 1st... but slowly towards dinner time, she started saying things she normally would not have said... ahahahaha... it could be cos she was feeling sick too... brain damage...

somehow, no matter what we say, the younger siblings, aka sis & lydia, will link it to songs and we'll all start singing the verses together... den they came out with their own 冷笑话 in the process... kenny, you always miss it when we're at our most crazy state...

"brother" eugene came to join us near dinner time... and he got a taste of ruth's nagging to study cos he din start on his past-yr paper... took a short break after dinner to play some DDR... yes... DDR as in dance dance revolution... i have 2 left feet, but i'm proud to announced that i managed to finish one song after 2 attempts...

that din last for long before we went back to mahjong again... heehee... my sis got it really bad... she even said she gets sunday blues if she doesn't play for a short period of time... haiyoh... see, i'm not the one who's obsessed with the game lor...

tomorrow is my FTT, and yet i'm still quite unprepared for it... i dunno why but i'm juz not in the mood to study for it now... if i fail, which 80% chance i will, i'll call my sis' instructor 1st to get lessons, den wait for my FTT again... i'm gonna read my FTT again later...

of no invasion, my 1st BMA and choir

no kopitiam invasion tonight...
moo moo and birdy went for an all-nighter KTV session at paradiz centre's Party World... if it weren't for work tomorrow morning, i would've been singing along with them right now...

so instead, i'm here blogging the non-existence of our kopitiam invasion... yes, we'll still have it next week, before i leave for genting and meow meow goes into hibernation for her studies... she must be very busy again, cos she din reply to any emails for the whole week... next week's kopitiam is at jurong west (blk) 500+ market kk...

of my 1st BMA...
BMA: bone marrow aspiration
mr yeo is on mc today... the good thing was, i was well prepared, mentally, that i had to do BMA... it wasn't a last minute mc where they couldn't find people to do... of cos, we're not the ones doing the actual procedure, but we act as a support for the doctors and nurses...

the procedure: after preparing our stuff, goes up to the ward... patient would've been sedated and ready for the doctor to plunge an BM aspirate needle into their bone... once the doc is in the bone, he/she will pass the collected BM to us and we'll make smears from it... important thing for us is to make sure it's a good collection (check for presence of solid particles) before the doc can pull out the needle and end the procedure... since i'm a core staff of the haematology section, i'm being trained to do the procedure... though i've been up with my senior staff before, this was my 1st time doing the smears all by myself... i was quite petrified, wondering whether i'll be able to make the smears properly... or if i'll accidentally spill precious BM on the floor or something...

i think i was really blessed... the doc was good, the patient was good, the marrow was good... it was easy to make the smears, and i had muiling (another staff who went up with me) to help me double-check that i was doing correctly... everything went smoothly and was over in a matter of 10-15min... it helped boast my confidence and i am more "secure" (for lack of a better word) now that i'll be able to do the job should the need arise for me to go up alone...

of choir today...
sitting between my sis and jiahui, we were making each other laugh throughout the whole practise... sorry to teckbeng laoshi and Xu shimu who was conducting the choir... but we really tried to keep it down, not that it was working much...

having practise in the music/dance room is not good... there's a huge mirror infront of us, and we tend to (mis)use it by communicating through our reflections... today, it was worse than ever... i think since we started playing more and more mahjong, we've been getting more and more crazy...

jiahui was posing out more facial expressions than usual that my sis was affected and was doing the same thing... imagine both of them doing it at the same time, it's hilarious... we were trading insults at each other again, and den laughing hysterically after trying to pull a straight face... we had jiahui posing as japanese schoolgirl taking photos... ended up with me laughing til i was tearing, and sis crunched up laughing and lying on my lap...

*sighs* i shall miss this when i move up to the adult choir next yr...


ps. FTT on monday afternoon (moo moo's birthday), 4.30pm... i haven't studied a single thing yet... yikes! better do some studying during the weekend...
