though i doubt i'll have much time to play these next week or so, with all the busy-ness of Christmas programs, but at least i have my Wii set now.

kopitiam invasion @ taman jurong S-11

ok... so i decided to juz write a simplified report... (or moo moo might say she's the only one who's ever doing this)

date: 18 nov, friday nite
weather: drizzling slightly
attendance: birdy, rr, moo moo (meow meow studying for exams)

surprisingly, rr was the 1st one to reach the S-11 bustop at taman jurong...

when called birdy, she was walking (!!) to taman jurong... not that it's not feasible, but because as i was saying, it was drizzling!! and she was walking without an umbrella somemore...

when rr sms-ed moo moo, she was also walking from her ah ma's house... another hero without an umbrella... this one, i somewhat can understand, since she stay so near...

so anyway, both of them reached without being very wet... birdy still very adventurous... wanted to read manga on the way, walking to taman jurong... how was she gonna accomplish that when it's pitch dark, i have no idea...

spent the entire invasion chit-chatting from moo moo's auntie problem; to birdy's troublesome USA associates problem; to our fav topic, manga & anime (of course)... friday's focus was on Rave, since moo moo was passing the last book to me...

much much much better ending than Shaman King, which was a total let out... never seen such a crappy ending in my entire manga-reading life... and i've read enough crappy endings before... like GSD... only that's not read but watched...

after S-11, we walked to the new multi-storey hawker so that moo moo can get some light food for her ah ma... not much shops still opened at 11pm, and she ended up getting satay (did u or ah ma ate that in the end?)

still drizzling lightly when we finally left the place... rr only one to be prepared with umbrella, although technically, she borrowed it from sis who always have it with her...

Ermm.. After RR got into her 240, I walked Birdy home. Ok lahh not the full distance. She initially wanted me to go home and she 弱女子 wanna brave the dark streets and STILL SAY ME EASIER TARGET FOR AH NEH LOR!!

Anyway i distracted her and chatted all the way, mostly on MS lahh. Ahahha, and b4 she realised it, we've reached lakeside mrt. I din wanna cross the overhead bridge so.. we parted there lor.

I think RR and Meow Meow will scream at Birdy for wanted to walk the dark alleys home. 我是无辜的!! *feigns innocent*

found new Palm PDA that is affordable! Palm Z22, priced at $228 seen in the Palm SG website... it's the all basic PDA with no added features...

well, not that i'll ever need them... mp3? i haf my creative Muvo2... camera and video function? my VS2 has that too... bluetooth?? erm, do i even know people who use that often??

the only thing that i might think is a minus point is there's no expansion slot... but other than that, it's a great bargain... *rubs hands* i can't wait to buy it after my yr-end bonus...

THE LONG-AWAITED HISTORY OF ANIMALS UNITED (AU) IS FINALLY HERE!

A FULL BITS AND PIECES OF THE NICK-NAMING OF THE MEMBERS AND THE FORMATION OF THE GROUP (Which was basically the same group but a title change)!

I shall do it chronologically, beginning with the Birdy.

Birdy

Ahh the Bird.. It started with BirdBrain (Moo Moo definition: person with the pea-sized brain of a bird; very blur person), which everyone started calling her since JSS times (b4 dat I dunno). Even into poly and now, she's still stuck with the "bird" name.

Armed with a formidable skill, she can inter-switch between personalities, from the extinct DoDos, to the sneezing chickens; from the cartoon in-proportionately big-headed yellow canary, to the many kinds of fly-able birds; from a night owl who worked 100+ hrs continuously, to a hungry bird (Early birds ate up all the worms so she always hungry). (Fwahh! Even 孙悟空 also 甘拜下风.) Being a scatter-brain, she had lost xx wallets and xx handphones to-date (Birdy pls replace the xx with actual figures).

Other alias of the Bird includes Ah Bird (more amiable), Birdy (act cute version), BB (her short-form), 那只鸟 (when we’re irritated, HAHA!), Cheep Cheep (when Birdy talks, this is the sound she made).

古墓派 Rank: 小龙女 (More like 小聋女 bcos most often then not, calls to her will end up with the irritating voice message zah bor)

Moo Moo

Then came the cow aka the author (Moo??). This started in 2004, in one of the MSN conversations with Meow Meow. According to Meow Meow, talking to her is like playing piano to a cow (对牛弹琴). So she became Moo Moo!~ (Play piano of cos no use lah, bcos Moo Moo is a drummer! ) Moo Moo had evolved from being 小牛津 to Meow Meow’s 牛 (做牛做马，任劳任怨) to being a mad cow. (Sounds more like a downgrade)

The kids of the faction, Moo Moo and Birdy often have irrational ideas/actions/speech which the elderlys (Yes who else but the 2 others below. Kekkekekeke) cracked their brains to comprehend. With grammatically-challenged English (Pls ignore all the grammatical/vocab/spelling errors thru’ out the chronicles) and trying-to-be-chim-but-not-chim Mandarin, Moo Moo volunteered (I volunteered hor??) to be the historian of AU and embarks on this tedious task of recalling the history. She is a worm and goldfish in disguise (worm being a nuahster <- one of Meow Meow’s made up nicks for me; goldfish for having 3 sec memory). She loves sobbing at corners whenever the other animals bully her. (So 可怜没人爱.)

Other alias of Moo Moo includes That Cow, 那只牛.

古墓派 Rank: 孙婆婆 (Bcos she very 照顾 the “deaf” zah bor on top, kind *puke*, blah blah blah, but more like there’s no one else in 古墓派 liao)

Meow Meow

Meow Meow revealed her natural instinct after responding to Roar Roar’s coo-ing but not our numerous calls. (RR: “Here kitty kitty~~” Meow Meow: “Meowwwwww~~~”) After that, she grabs at every opportunity to meow, clings onto every EXPENSIVE fish that was dangled. (Moo Moo tried dangling guppies but Meow Meow bo hiew)

Being Moo Moo’s master, Meow Meow had kicked, scratched, clawed, etc etc etc, Moo Moo. The most classic of all torture, was tying Moo Moo to mango tree (or was it durian?), then Moo Moo activating her phase shift and whatever, and breaks free of the rope, then Meow Meow chases Moo Moo down (横行霸道-ly, 100% hunts down target even if the target vanished), then ties Moo Moo again to the tree with STAINLESS STEEL SUPER STRONG METAL ROPE, and starts throwing mangoes, durians, whatever throwable, at Moo Moo.

Meow Meow has a habit of dousing her computers with pesticides and insecticides, intending to kill the bugs she couldn’t catch and she’s actually a crab cosplaying a cat if nobody had already discovered by now.

Roar Roar (RR)

Since there’s already 3 people in 古墓派 with animal identities, the last one shouldn’t be left out. The historian could not remember how exactly the lion came abt (told u I goldfish liao). Did she start roaring suddenly, or did she jus put on a Lion King costume and join the party?? She chose to be a lion instead of a tiger (母老虎), although both also roar.

Maybe it was bcos she is a hardcore carnivore that gave her the status of the top members of the cat family. Maybe it was due to the fact that she LOOKS fierce. Maybe.. Maybe…

She’s a mystery~

But this QUEEN OF THE CROP of lioness had an ambition, to be a pig. Eat and sleep, eat and sleep, repeat procedure. If one day an oversized pig with lion fur sticking out was to be found sleeping in a sty, please do not panic. It’s jus RR masquerading as an Oink Oink.

Ahh.. I'm trying to recall as much as possible k. Its like 10 days ago thing. Hmmmmmm..................

The 2nd KopiTiam Invasion in the same week, this time for convenience of Meow Meow & Birdy (who din make it), it was across my blk. Me, who was on leave, nuahed the entire day b4 walking down to find them + buying a big bag of potato chips which I have yet to start eating. Meow Meow came looking like a zombie after her studying in NTU.

Ah.. This was the day Birdy started her marathon camping in office. Where got ppl work 100+ hrs <- abt 5 days from friday till wed i think, OVERNITES IN OFFICE!! Might as well go to work at night rite.

Faster go look for other jobs leh.. U need time to send resumes, time for the prospective companies to review the resumes, time for interviews, time for them to confirm, time for u do quit and do handovers. Totals up to more than 1 mth, 2 maybe. By the time u settle ur server problem, u shld be ready for ur next job already mahh.. the shorter u stay at the present company the better lehh.. who noes when the server will buang again..

Last Min Kopitiam Invasion & An Animated Bird

Hehh.. RR i saw ur draft. I was wondering y 2 person can blog n no one toks abt the kopitiam invasion. Nvm I shall do it.

Look at the time. I woke up at 7.30 not knowing wat to do. What the F i wake up so early for when i slept at 2+++ the night before. Couldnt get back to sleep after dat so.. MS!!~~~

Ended work SUPER late yesterday due to a stupid SAP server lag. Of all days lag at MONTH END! [>.<]q The lag started at 4++ when I was 3 pages into my 7 pages/100++ permits list. Still tolerable, abt 30 sec wait per function pressed. Chatted with Meow Meow and Birdy on MSN, where 3/4 of the time, Birdy is MS-ing. Imagine! MS-ING DURING OFFICE HRS IN OFFICE LOR.. kaoz. The 30 sec became 1 min. Then it became so bad that I had to stare [@.@] at the screen for 2 min for one transaction, 3 min to save it, and bo bah geh will be saved (In this case, repeat from step 1, wait 2 min, then 3 min, until confirmed saved).

Slowly, the office emptied out. One-by-one, they left, not without throwing a line at me.
"Wah still dun wanna go back arh?"
"Wah so hardworking arh?"
"Go back go back!~ Boss not in~"
"Not going back?"
etc, etc, etc.

My answer would be... "CANNOT GO BACK ARHH!!~~~ [T.T]"

At 6.45, I'm the only one left in office, facing a lights-out engineering dept. Dun dare to go toilet bcos.. SCARY LAHHH!!!~~ By dat time the system is recovering but still, I'm only on my 4th page. Chiong thru all the permits till 7++, opened up my excel file to update the new permits. A lot of alterations as we have 3 new product codes <- which made me super irritated bcos 3 new products, I have to create 10+++ additional licenses.

All tis while, the small boy (he's older than me by one mth lah) in the terminal was waiting for his price (not by me, another dept). So I complained to him lahh, wat stupid system lah, wat stupid dept doing the pricing lah, wat stupid fishtank on his desk lah. Blah blah blah. We sitting on the same boat.. Ahhahaa.. After everything, he offered me a cab ride out. Claimable anyway since he doing OT.

Anyway, I met up with Birdy at JP. She looks super tired when she reached so I asked her y so sianz lah, since she was MS-ing in office!! Then she started her super animated story. From 1st floor to the food court at 3rd floor. The version dat Meow Meow and RR saw later is already quite toned down liao. Her facial expression really made me laff like mad. (How come she angry then still so funny one I oso dun understand..)

Well, advice to Birdy: Adults ARE UNREASONABLE at times (My aunt has it more than others, urs small case..), we'll grow up to be like dat in time to come. So... WE MUST LEARN NOT TO BE LIKE DAT!!~~

We had a super long dinner, trading unreasonable stories, then topic switched to MS. Ahahhahha.. We left JP at 9.50pm.

Met up again at 11pm (We really cannot get enuff of each other.. I dunno y.. I'm meeting her later again somemore..). Kopitiam at Jurong West Ave 1 Blk 502. There we met up with a sore throat, bug-plagued, pale looking Meow Meow and a super heng RR.

RR!! I jus remembered.. U din pass me ur FTT book!!!

Back to the story, Birdy and me were pushed to order (as usual, those bullies.. kekekke). We, as usual, dunno wat to buy, keep walking back to the seats to ask them. Food arrived, one tissue prata, one cage of haa gao, one plate of fried dumpling, 2 teh bings, 1 kopi + a big bottle of Birdy's mum's brand herbal tea.

Speaking of the herbal tea. Meow Meow, she told me she wanted to bring to u while we were MSNing. She wans me to shhh somemore.. ahhahaha.. Budden.. AUNTY ARHH~~~ I NO NEED!!~~ ehhehehhe.. My mum always brew these herbal tea stuff whenever one of us is down with sore throat or wat (most commonly my bro), and the rest of us oso have to drink. So no need no need... hehhehhehehhe...

as mentioned, met up with Sayo for our last meal together at chinatown... i always want to bring her out for more hawker food since i feel that her boyfriend dun do that as much... and who knows when she'll have the chance to ever savour our local delights again for a long time...

after that, we went walking for a while along chinatown, as i waited for lydia to come from work, reminiscing about days back in launie when we would do the same things... i forgot to mention us watching movies in the last entry... think we probably watched 4-5 movies with another sg classmate Jan, usually during our long breaks on tuesdays or after class on friday...

we eventually parted at chinatown mrt, and i passed the going-away present i got for her... i wished i had more time to shop, but it was so last minute... sayo, i really hope u like the hair clip... we must keep in touch kk...
give me another 2yrs to save up after my taiwan trip, and i'll be off to japan to see u... *grins* in the meantime, work hard in ur job when u start next april kk...

KTV @ K-ster, Lucky Chinatown

"u know u've been singing way too much when the staff recognize u..."
that's lydia by the way... apparently, one of the staff, whom she claims looks abit like 吴克群, recognized her when he passed us along the corridor...

from 3.45-7.20pm, we managed to
1) sing at least 50 songs and not lose our vocal chords...
2) tried to imitate very low male voices with little success...
3) made lydia spill milo on herself...
4) broaden my limited chinese songs directory to more recent songs...
5) sang songs from Grasshoppers and the classic Aaron Kwok 对你爱不完, along with the hand actions...

when we couldn't reach the super low notes for the male singers' songs, we ended up singing the super high pitch version... which really sounds funny cos we would sometimes go out of tune... den down to normal pitch for the chorus, and up to the high pitch again for the 2nd stanza...

all in all, the only song we could sing of guys that din require us to do the up and down pitch was Lee Hom's Forever Love... ahahaha... something that kenny couldn't reach before...

which reminds me... Kenny... i'm so sorry we PS-ed u for ktv... (PS = short form for pang seh) it was my idea really, even though i was the one that asked u in the 1st place... i'm so so sorry... no valid reason to give u also... heard from my sis u were bored in the afternoon... felt guilty immediately...

next time kk... we go ktv i promise we call u to see if u free or not... good thing is, we got k-ster coupons at the macdonald's at lucky chinatown... they were juz sitting there on the counter waiting to be taken by us... 3 "free 5hrs ktv room" coupons per piece of paper... valid til 15 nov... got chance got chance...

friday kopitiam

as if it was retribution for PS-ing kenny during ktv, ended up, only moo moo and me were met up in time for kopitiam invasion at 10pm... birdy had family gathering... we couldn't get meow meow when we called her hp., neither was there anyone picking up the phone at home... which was weird since she said she was coming...

in the end, only after we're about to go home, as we stood in front of her block, trying to decipher which was her window, did we managed to get her... turns out, our poor meow meow was back in NTU trying to finish her projects...

and she was also having a slight flu... must be all the bugs u were trying to code... instead of killing them, u ended up catching them... hope u're almost done with all ur projects now... aren't u starting exams in a few days??

we went to the jurong west kopitiam cos birdy and meow meow lives close by... in the end, moo moo and me were the ones who went... hmm...

of prata cravings, directions and camp...

we finally managed to satisfy moo moo's craving for roti prata on our last kopitiam invasion... juz a small shop below those 2-storey buildings near my old home at jurong east, it was packed full of people even at 10pm... can see people really like the pratas there... the teh bing is also not bad... at least better than the one in boon lay market...

meow meow came late since she was attending a seminar in town... i thought there was only that one kopitiam opposite jurong primary school... turns out there was another one and she went to that instead... so she called birdy to ask for directions...

bad move... birdy giving out directions?? worse thing, moo moo tagged along with her to find meow meow... and moo moo is even worse... not that she doesn't know where she is, just that she's not all that fantastic on directing people... (Moo Moo: Not my fault!!!! Birdy passed the hp to me!! & Birdy was the one who say opposite JURONG PRI!)

at least all 3 of them managed to come back safely... granted, they left me all alone in the kopitiam... lucky kenny happened to be there (he went there for supper after choir), and he kept me company for a while...

i've been asked by liwen laoshi and uncle seb to be the chairperson for the youth camp this year... though well assured by them, and auntie sharon, that it'll be a relatively easy job this time round, i'm still apprehensive about it... lots of worries in my head... plus, i have to find my own committee members instead of the usual where they have already been selected...

but, this year would be entirely different as the main theme of the camp is focused on the tabernacle... yes, as in the tabernacle from the Old Testament... using real building materials, we're gonna build it from scratch, together with the robe for the chief priest...

it'll be an experience not to be missed... who knows when will there be another time when we would have the chance to do this...

was so so ecstatic when i saw, not juz one, but TWO of them in the display cupboard... yes, the display cupboard... where they should be out of people's reach, so that when real buyers (like me) go buy them, they wouldn't be particular about it being a display piece... i'm so proud of it... look how big it is... compared to meow meow's ichigo, this is twice as large... mwahaha... i know, i'm bad... making fun of ichigo... meow meow said she's tempted to buy, but if she did, kon will be bigger than ichigo...

how do you expect me to get the smaller version after seeing this huggable one... *grins*

other than that... today is friday... so AU (minus birdy) went to invad another kopitiam... will hand it over to moo moo to check which street this one is on... the teh bing was ok, though meow meow commented that the auntie put alot of milk into it... not too sweet, but i haf a sweet tooth... so my "juz nice" might be "too sweet" for others...

moo moo was very late cos she went to see sammi cheng at lido, orchard... *growls* and i juz found out tt meow meow has a boyfriend for the past 5 or so months... *sighs* why do i always seems to be the last one to find out about such things... makes me feel abit stupid and blur... but meow meow also not the type to publicize about it... so can't really blame her...

moo moo, when you start going out with someone, please tell me in advance kk... so i dun say the wrong things at the wrong time... break-up must also say... all the more must tell me... that one confirm canot say wrong things...

And so, we went back to the "Pickpocket Place" aka JW St 63, firstly to look for the famed duck noodles(Not open again); secondly for the bird (special guest) to try the "superb" chicken wing(i dun really like); thirdly to catch the pickpocket(0_0).


Superb Chicken Wings??

This moo moo, with Naruto, her Muvo, her hp, her keys, decided to walk to the place from JW St 91. Thinking dat she'd brought everything, she happily stepped outta door at 9.50pm, and started her journey. Along the way, she returned rr's msg, and dropped the phone while trying to put it back inside the pouch with Naruto occupying most part of her hoof. She xim-tiahingly picked up all the pieces and fixes them back along the journey.

Walk walk walk, she saw 179 coming. Ohh! Meow Meow and Birdy had arrived. Walks faster. Another traffic light and she'll reach the destination, she saw another 179 on the other side of the road. Aiya shld've taken the bus. Then she realised. SHE DIN BRING HER WALLET OUT!!!! She remembered everything else BUT HER WALLET!! duhh..

Ok back to the report. I, being sick of chicken wings, went looking for other food while the 3 other animals feasted. Prata? No more prata. Satay? Not open. WAHHHH. Anyway, fastforward. Jus as we're leaving, we saw Junming. <- Dao gia. Haha.

Then we went to kopitiam no. 2 for the night. JW St 91 Blk (I'll go n check it out.) Response there, DRINKS DAMN EX!! But rojak quite good. And so we the 4 tai tais in the making rehearsed wat we'll be doing in 20 yrs time. Lim kopi tok kok. kakkakkakkaa..

it was GREAT!! i mean, dun compare it to broadway musicals like Phantom or Miss Saigon of course... considering it was an asian production, i think it was very successful... the music was good, the dancing was good, the leads were good... thankfully, i managed to watch this time round, cos apparently, this is jacky cheung's last performace for the musical... which makes sense also lah... he's not young anymore, any more vigorous dancing and i'm afraid his bones might break... and chen songling has such a beautiful voice! oh my gosh!! it's so much better than xu hui xing whose voice was more soprano and airy. the only bad thing was that though we were sitting in the $148 seats, we still couldn't see their faces... sighs... should haf listened to my mom and brought the binoculars...

before the musical started, we (joreen, me and junli) was trying to find shannie amongst the audience... after calling her, we finally found directly opposite us... i think the 3 of us were on drugs; or the food that we ate at crystal jade la mien had too much msg or something... we keep laughing over the slightest things, making silly comments, or (our fav) make fun of shannie cos she wasn't with us... haha... that'll make her wary of having the 3 of us on our own without her... heehee...

of sparklers and more teh bing...
sunday was the 15th (chinese calendar)... i.e. mooncake day... after a tiring day of ktv, curry chicken and mahjong, moo moo called again to go out... this time, to play sparklers... i swear, no matter how much we use, the sparklers never seem to run out... it's like a neverending supply... at that time, i was still playing mahjong at jiahui's house, so that was cancelled due of lack of people... 30min later, it was a call to supper, but at the new taman jurong hawker centre... though i initially said no since it was so far away, in order to make me go, they went by my wishes and changed it to boon lay... =p

so instead of making noise at taman jurong, we were making noise in boon lay (right behind where my mom works too)... cos they bought those sparklers that makes loud piercing noises when they are lit up... i think the people there hates us... 4 girls making so much noise below their block... *sweatdrops*

we adjourned for drinks at the hawker centre where we drank not very nice teh bing... the color wasn't right, there wasn't enough milk, it wasn't even sweet enough... next time, we are definitely not buying from that stall anymore... at least, not teh bing anymore...
subject of the session: cockroaches aka 小强's... there was one running beside our table in the circle where some plants were... we started trading horror stories of not juz 小强, but also lizards...
conclusion: except for meow meow, all of us are terrified of 小强... though at desperate times, we would still kill it if we have to... as for lizards, that's a definite no-no for me, and probably meow meow too...

sober news: my ah ma's admitted into the hospital again... 2nd time in 2 weeks... she was shivering and trembling very badly on sunday nite at around 1pm... before that, she already had on-off fever for the past couple of days... it scared us so much we immediately called the doctor... turns out it's a urinary tract infection... she's very weak and also dehydrated cos she keeps talking deliriously without stopping and drinks little water thruout the day... juz today, she had a blood transfusion, probably due to a low Hb, and she was also having fever and trembling again...

now, all we can do is pray for how God wants to deal with her... all of us are actually prepared for the worst, but we also want her to be well again... but if she's gonna suffer so much, i rather He just takes her away from this pain... cos it hurts to see her like this too...

lim kopi

it started out as a once in a while thing, but slowly, i think it's gonna start being some friday tradition for the animals-united; minus the bird on numerous occasions... today, of course as usual, she's busy with work again and had to stay back in the office. *sighs*
well, today it wasn't at JP where we normally hang out, but really at a kopitiam, kopitiam... according to moo moo and meow meow, there's supposed to be good duck noodles there, though none of us ate that... was tempted by the chicken wings roasting right where i can see them, so "persuaded" the both of them to buy and eat them too... mwahahaha...

so, amidst chicken wings and our ice milk tea (ice lemon tea for meow meow), we had our usual chit-chat and talk rubbish session... den the event of the night happened... moo moo and i were sitting on the same side, with meow meow on the other side... my bag was sitting right between me and her, and she felt that it was like starting to fall out of the bench, so she grabbed onto the handles to try to steady it... turns out, it wasn't falling out of the chair, but was slowly being pulled out by this indian uncle who was behind us...!! the nerve of the guy!! and to think that he dared to do it with so many people around... after that, i kept my bag firmly on my lap... and this most likely wasn't his 1st attempt too, bcos awhile later, this uncle, whom i assume work at the kopitiam, was passing by our table and he told us he saw what the indian uncle was trying to do... wah lau...!! desperate people are out there man...

anyway, so much for the eventful thing of the night... while chatting with the 2 of them, we found out another weirdness of mine, but one that i share with meow meow...
we prefer to stay in places where there is optimum temperature, not too cold, but not too hot either... i can't stand being hot, but throw me into an air-con room for too long, i'll complain also... and i don't like to sleep in air-con rooms too... partially bcos of my rhinitis, everytime i wake up after sleeping in an air-con room, i just have the worst running nose... den another part is bcos, i juz prefer to have a normal fan running, where there's always a continous flow of air circulating in the room... throw me in a room with no circulating air, or if i ever get stuck in an elevator with the fan off, i'll start hearing ringing/buzzing noise... loudly, even if nobody else can hear it... very bad, very very bad...

anyway, we've decided that we'll go try out all the neighbouring kopitiams in our area, which stretches only from moo moo's house to the furthest we will go, jurong east... think we're all lazy people, at least meow meow and me are... moo moo wants to go geylang, which we said she can go herself... heehee... so, i wonder where we might be going next week... we should go eat supper at boon lay next week...
